EVA, PVB, the SGP as laminated membrane of comparing the advantages and disadvantages

Laminated glass is used more widely in the field of architectural glass, glass, also known as safety glass. PVB

PVB interlayer believe is one of the more familiar names. PVB is the current architecture glass and automobile glass sandwich material is widely used.

Storage technology and processing methods of PVB interlayer is EVA is complex, the requirement of temperature and humidity is higher. PVB processing were required temperature control at 18 ℃ to 23 ℃, relative humidity control in 18-23% PVB keep the moisture content of 0.4% to 0.6%, by process after preheating roll pressure or vacuum autoclave is used for heat/pressure, autoclave temperature: 120-130 ℃, pressure: 1.0-1.3 MPa, time: 30 to 60 min. PVB complete sets of production equipment are in need of 1 million or so, for a small business has the certain difficulty. In a few years ago, mainly foreign dupont, solutia, water and other manufacturers, domestic PVB mainly recycled materials for secondary processing, but the quality is not very good stability. In recent years, domestic PVB manufacturers are also gradually developed.

PVB has good security, sound insulation, transparency and resistance to ultraviolet ray, but PVB poor water resistance, in damp environment for a long time does easy to glue fall off.

EVA

Called the EVA ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer. Because of its strong water resistance, corrosion resistance, are widely used in the packaging film, functional films, foaming shoe materials, hot melt adhesive, cable and toys, and other fields, our country usually use EVA as the sole material.

EVA is also used as sandwich glass interlayer, and its high cost performance, compared with PVB, the SGP, EVA has good liquidity, lower melting temperature, the temperature of 110 ℃ or so can be processed. The full set of production equipment are in need of 100000 yuan.

EVA film layer has good liquidity, can be wired in the membrane layer, volume, etc, create beautiful decorative glass with patterns and pattern. EVA has good resistance to water, but weak ability to resist uv, sunshine can yellow black for a long time, so it is mainly used for indoor partition.

The SGP

Among all the SGP is called ionic membrane (SentryGlasPlus), it is dupont developed high-performance sandwich material. Its high performance embodies in:

1, excellent mechanical properties, high strength. Under the same thickness, the SGP is 2 times of PVB interlayer capacity; Under the same load, the thickness of the case, the SGP bending deflection is a quarter of the PVB laminated glass;

2, the tear strength. Under the same thickness, PVB clamp tear strength is 5 times of PVB film, in the case of tear still can glue on the glass, won't make the whole piece of glass fall off.
